Pamlico County Planning & Economic Development

The goal of the Economic Development Office is to help strengthen the area's economy and to encourage job growth. The Department does this by working to improve the area's business climate. Promotes the general economic development of the County consistent with sustainable economic growth. Promotes entrepreneurial related activities, tourism and other business opportunities. Provides a variety of economic and other information to residents, visitors, developers and businesses interested in locating in Pamlico County.

In order to promote Pamlico County, the Department works with area economic development partners such as the NC Eastern Region, North Carolina Department of Commerce, Eastern Carolina Council and other government and private interests.
