Pamlico County is governed by a seven member Board of Commissioners who bear the responsibility of serving the people and improving the quality of life in the county. The county is divided into five townships with one commissioner elected from each township and two elected At-Large. The Board serves four year staggered terms with elections held every two years.

Meetings: 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. during daylight savings time and 7:00 p.m. at the end of daylight savings time.

Meetings are held on the 2nd floor of the Pamlico County Courthouse
