REQUEST FOR WRITTEN QUOTES

The County of Pamlico Public Services Department is soliciting written quotes from License General Contractors to Reroof the Courthouse Annex Building located at 202 Main Street Bayboro NC 28515.

All work and materials will comply with the Scope of Work sheet for the Courthouse Annex Reroof Project.

1. Submission of Quotes

Written quotes must be received by 2:00 p.m. on November 25, 2019 and can be submitted by any of the following means:

It is the practice of the County of Pamlico to accept questions and inquiries in writing from all respondents at the Email address or fax number shown above.

Late submissions will not be considered. All respondents mailing quotes should allow for the time required for the selected mail carrier to ensure timely receipt of quotes.

 

2. General Terms and Conditions

a. The respondent is advised that any or all parts of this RFQ may be made a binding part of the subsequent contract by purchase order.

b. The respondent is responsible for supplying complete, accurate, and current data in its quote.

 

3. Notification of Award

The respondent whose quote is accepted will be notified and, once insurance documentation is provided, a contractor’s agreement will be signed and Notice to Proceed will be given.

 

4. Quote Preparation Costs

Any cost incurred in the preparation of the quote will be the responsibility of the respondent.

 

5. Insurance Requirements

The successful respondent must meet the following insurance requirements:

a. Comprehensive or commercial general liability: One Million dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence.

b. Comprehensive automobile liability covering owned, hired and non-owned vehicles with minimum limits of Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($500,000) per person and Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($500,000) per accident for bodily injury, and Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($500,000) property damage.

c. Workers compensation insurance as required by law.  Contractor shall provide to County a certificate of its insurance coverage.  Furthermore, Contractor shall at all times maintain a provision in its insurance coverage that no policy hereunder may be amended without thirty (30) days advance written notice to County.

 

6. Legal Requirements

The selected respondent must complete a E-Verify Affidavit  and will comply with all federal, state, and local laws.

 

7. Right of Rejection

The County of Pamlico reserves the right to reject any and all quotes.

 

8.  DBE Requirements

Small, minority, women's, and disadvantaged businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit Bids.

Courthouse Annex Building Roof

 

Scope of Work:

Pamlico County Courthouse Annex Building Roof

  1.  Remove and Dispose of EPMD Membrane – Fully adhered system – 60 mil – 140.52 SQ
  2. Remove and Replace Fiberboard – 1” – 14,052 SF
  3. Remove and Replace Cap Flashing 526.00 LF
  4. Remove and Replace – Pipe Jack – 6.00 EA
  5. Remove Special Doors – Roof Hatch 1.00 EA
  6. Install Special Doors – Roof Hatch 1.00 EA
  7. Detach and Reset Roof mount power attic fan – Large
  8. Install a fully adhered 60 mil EPMD Membrane Roof System

 

Furnish the ROOF MANUFACTURER’S 20 year water-tightness warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

The Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits and shall pay all inspection fees.
